Wembley Women's Record Breakers!

On Saturday 9th November a group of fifteen students from The Bulmershe School attended the England Women’s Football friendly against the German national team.

A rather wet affair, the game was a great experience for a number of students who had never attended a football game before and others who had never been to Wembley Stadium before. The atmosphere made it a very special occasion with our students being part of the record breaking attendance figures. The record for the highest attendance at a Lionesses' home fixture was set at a staggering 77,768 watching England take on Germany and we took  up 17 of those seats! Our students represented the school very well and waved their England flags, cheered, chanted and got involved with the numerous Mexican waves that flowed around the stands.

It was a fantastic game to watch with penalties, strong challenges, goals and although the outcome wasn’t as most had hoped, it turned out to be a very good game of football to watch with an exciting added 4 minutes of football before the final whistle.

A massive thank you to Miss Roberts for organising and running the trip!
