Dear Parent or carer,

The Bulmershe School Governing Body has a vacancy for a parent governor – and you could be the person we are looking for!

The governors perform a critical role in setting the strategic direction of the school, holding the Headteacher to account, and overseeing the school’s financial resources.

The role of school governor provides an excellent opportunity for parents to apply their professional skills in the service of the school, and contribute to its successful development. The newly elected governor will be joining a committed team, with the ambition to ensure that all pupils achieve their full potential. The term of office will be four years.

We welcome nominations from any parents or carers with a strong commitment to the school’s vision and ethos. The Bulmershe School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointments are subject to enhanced DBS clearance.
A nomination form can be downloaded below and should be returned no later than 2.00pm on Monday 16th March 2020.

If you have any questions about the job and role of a school governor please don't hesitate to ask: mail me at clerktogovernors@bulmershe.wokingham.sch.uk or call me via the school office (0118 935 3353).

Yours sincerely
