The Bulmershe School is appalled by the murder of George Floyd in the United States on May 25th. As a school we are committed to fighting racism and prejudice in all its forms and to the active promotion of equality for all.

The Bulmershe School acknowledges the heightened distress the events may have caused in our community. We are determined to work together and to continue to strive for positive change.

As a school we are taking this time to reflect on what part we can play to raise the levels of understanding and knowledge of the inequalities in our society.  We want all of our community to be in a position where they can have informed opinions, make informed decisions and take informed actions. We will be looking at our curriculum, school calendar and events to ensure that we are doing everything we can to re-evaluate our position. We will be working with the Bulmershe Student Council, staff and parents to plan the way forward.  It is vital that we work together as a community to support each other, and to say:

Black Lives Matter.
