Parent/student meetings for year 7,8 and 9

Dear Parent/Carer,

We have created the opportunity for all parents and students, of year 7,8 and 9, who have not attended school in any format since going in to lockdown on 20th March, to come in to school for a 15 minute wellbeing meeting. The purpose of these 15 minute wellbeing meetings are to discuss any concerns that the student may have faced over the past three months, and supporting students in becoming ‘September Ready’.

The appointments will take place in the auditorium, and will run from Tuesday 7th July, until Friday 17th July. Parents/carers will only be able to sign up for one appointment, to ensure that there is availability for all families who wish to attend. These meetings will be held by a range of staff for each specific year group.

The appointments will go live, via our parents evening process, at 7pm on this evening (Friday 3rd July), and will close at 8:30am on Tuesday 7th July. This is to ensure we know exactly who is attending, and on which day in advance, to ensure we can be as prepared as possible for that number of visitors. The meetings will focus on the students wellbeing; the parts that they have found positive and challenging, and what further support may be needed to ensure they are ‘September ready’.

When arriving for your meeting, please wait outside reception, the member of staff who you are meeting will come and collect you, and walk you into the auditorium. We will try our hardest to be as punctual as possible, but please appreciate some appointments may slightly overrun.
