The Bulmershe School has a new parent governor: Dr Kleio Akrivou, who was elected unopposed.

She is an Associate Professor in Business Ethics and Organisational behaviour at the University of Reading (among many other things). Her summary of skills and experience says that she has ‘important expertise in matters of human cognitive and moral growth, applications for education and pedagogy and using experimental learning in the curriculum.’

She adds, ‘as a parent governor I would strive to support the school’s governing body and leadership on the basis of common values for enabling a learning environment of excellence which enables the overall human growth of students and their ability and willingness to make a difference via interdependency and collaboration.’

Dr Akrivou's term of office will be for four years from today.
