Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 children and their families from 10 different primary schools came to The Bulmershe School for the annual ‘Rocketeers’ event.

Space Commander Mr Hulley, Mr Chandler and Mr Fritz, assisted by Transition Ambassadors * supported children to construct and launch their very own space rocket.

The children all had an amazing time with Rebecca from Beechwood Primary School coming 1st in the ‘Mission to Mars’ competition... Well done Rebecca!

“I loved rocketeers because we made rockets out of paper and card. We used a special launching machine to fire them into the sky”

“Rocketeers was really great fun and I enjoyed visiting The Bulmershe School again. All the transition ambassadors and staff were great. Thank you ever so much for inviting us”

*Transition Ambassadors:  Alice Mitchell, Audrey Hucker, Erin Swart, Trinity Mcfarlane, Harvey Skilton and Myriame Viguier**

Rocketeers is not only great fun but also gives the primary school children a chance to experience secondary school teaching whilst meeting and collaborating with current and future students to support the transition from primary to secondary school.
