Science Technician - Physics

Term time plus inset days, 39 weeks a year, 25 hours a week - flexible to be agreed with the successful candidate

Permanent position

Salary Range Grade 4, Actual annual salary £10,357 (FTE £18,070) 

Required to start as soon as possible, a Science Technician (Physics) for our successful, aspirational and friendly team of staff. 

We are looking for an outstanding and enthusiastic technician, ideally with previous experience and/or who possesses a Physics qualification. Duties include the maintenance and provision of Physics apparatus for lessons and maintaining the inventory of Physics equipment

Clerk to the Governors 

The Bulmershe School is seeking to appoint a clerk to its governing body. This is an important role, with the clerk providing essential support and advice to governors, as well as ensuring that records of meetings and other governance activities are properly maintained. The clerk will need to work particularly closely with the chair of the governing body, the headteacher and the chairs of the two main sub-committees (‘resources’ and ‘teaching and learning’).

The role is part-time and is suitable for flexible working. The time commitment will be an average of ten hours per week, with some weeks involving more / fewer hours. This post attracts a remuneration of Grade 4 pro rata (£17891 – £19,939)

Candidates need to be able to attend evening meetings several times each term.

Learning Support Assistant

Grade 3 
27.5 hours per week, term time only with 3 inset days, £10,324.73 (pro-rata figure)

An opportunity to join a friendly, successful and dedicated team providing learning and emotional support across the curriculum to students with a range of special education needs.
The Support department has its own base with fantastic facilities which afford a superb environment in which to work and learn.
The successful candidate will work with a range of youngsters who have additional needs, alongside class teachers. Applicants should have the equivalent of GCSE grade C in English and Maths and enjoy working with young people. Training will be provided but candidates need to feel confident about their own academic ability.
Full time (term time only) is preferred but part-time considered.
