Learning Support Assistant 

(SEMH and Behaviour Mentoring)

Full time, Grade 4 (according to experience)

30.4 hours per week, term time

September 2020 start

We are seeking a  Learning Support Assistant experienced in SEMH and Behaviour Mentoring, to join our very busy SEN team.

In addition to the tasks of a Grade 3 LSA, you will be required: 

  1. To complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities for students with SEMH, under an agreed system of supervision. 
  2. To work collaboratively with the SENCO and learning support department to support children with a range of diagnosis including but not limited to ASD, ADHD, PDA and wider ranging SEMH diagnosis.
  3. To work in classrooms with children and in small groups with allocated specified children supporting emotional well-being in turn linked to learning.

A grade C or equivalent in both Maths and English is desirable.

This post is designed to support the emotional well being of children and to support with behavioural challenges.
