Learning Support Assistant

Grade 3 
27.5 hours per week, term time only with 3 inset days,

£17,681 p.a. (paid pro-rata)

To start in September 2018

An opportunity to join a friendly, successful and dedicated team providing learning and emotional support across the curriculum to students with a range of special education needs.
The Support department has its own base with fantastic facilities which afford a superb environment in which to work and learn.
The successful candidate will work with a range of youngsters who have additional needs, alongside class teachers. Applicants should have the equivalent of GCSE grade C in English and Maths and enjoy working with young people. Training will be provided but candidates need to feel confident about their own academic ability.
Full time (term time only) is preferred but part-time considered.

Senior IT Technician

Salary £18,070-£20,138 Pro Rata

37 hours per week

The Bulmershe School is seeking to appoint an exceptional Senior IT Technician with the talent and passion to make a significant contribution to how technology is used to enhance teaching and learning and administrative functions throughout the school.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their skills and experience in deploying supporting and administering Server (Microsoft 2008R2/2012/Linux), Desktop (Windows 7/8), Network, Telephony and Managed Print/Copy services. Previous experience with school systems and SIMS.NET would be advantageous, but not essential.

The role will involve liaison with end users, hence you will possess excellent communication skills. You will be an enthusiastic problem solver with a willingness to take ownership of issues and see them through to an effective conclusion.


Current IT Infrastructure.

The ideal candidate would have competency in supporting and administering all of the below.

· Enterprise grade IT infrastructure with over 30 servers managed through Active Directory and Group Policy, mostly virtualised through VMWare with some Hyper V.

· Approximately 600 workstations running Windows 7.

· GigE Core/Edge layered network on HP Procurve switches connected via FC and Cat5e

· Campus-wide Ruckus Wi-Fi with internal, BYOD and Guest Networks

· File storage and backup services built on HP SAN and File Server hardware.

· Virtual Server Backup and Data Replication via VEEAM and DPM

· Firewall, Web Content Filtering and Layer 7 Application control using Smoothwall.

· VOIP telephony system running on 3CX Server, Yealink handsets over a dedicated voice VLAN configured on ZyXel PoE GigE switches.

· A fully managed print/copy service using Papercut to control a fleet of 37 Kyocera MFP and Desktop devices.

· MIS and Financial services provided via an in-house Capita SIMS and FMS server.
