Why did you choose to come to The Bulmershe School?

I originally joined The Bulmershe School in Year 7 due to the overwhelmingly positive references I had been given by family members who had attended beforehand. Not only did they say about the incredibly fulfilling time they had, but the fact that they have all gone on to build successful careers after leaving Bulmershe assured me that the school was an environment to thrive and succeed in.

How has The Bulmershe School inspired you to strive for your aspirations and dreams?

The passion with which teaching is delivered at The Bulmershe School is unparalleled, and has inspired me more than anything else to excel as much as I possibly can across all of my subjects.

How do you feel the co-curricular (extra-curricular clubs, trips, opportunities) experience at The Bulmershe School has benefited you?

The Bulmershe School offers such a vast array of extra-curricular activities, meaning that there will always be something for students to take part in should they wish to. Alongside this, the trips that I've been on across my Bulmershe career have always been beneficial for my learning, but equally, entertaining to experience.

What would you say is your favourite moment so far in your time at The Bulmershe School?

I thoroughly enjoyed every day in the lower years of Bulmershe, but the progression into the A-level year of my education has by far been my favourite moment. The growing intimacy in student-teacher relationships allows you to thrive academically in your learning and take greater levels of responsibility over it.

What is your favourite subject and why?

No offence dealt to my History or Chemistry teachers, but I can confidently say that English is my favourite subject. It's something about how unique the creative aspect of it is - which can't be replicated in any of the other subjects across the syllabus

What advice would you give to a student about to join The Bulmershe School?

Joining a new school as big as Bulmershe can seem quite daunting - but it's worth remembering that everybody else will be in the exact same position as you on the first day. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you're lost or you have any questions, and make sure you socialise and talk to people!
