Welcome to The Bulmershe School

The Headmistress

As Headteacher, I am very pleased and proud to welcome you to our Bulmershe School website.

Our vision is to be an ambitious and inspirational place of learning where every student is valued. We are proud of our high standards and constantly strive to improve our school so that every student achieves the success they deserve and leave us as well qualified individuals, ready for employment, training or the next stage of their education.

Our school has been described by Ofsted in 2013 as one where students make 'rapid progress' which is 'based on outstanding teaching combined with a high level of care for the individual child that is shared across the school'.

We are delighted that our local authority has awarded us a £6 million grant to invest in our regeneration project, do take some time to look at the information in The School > Regeneration Project to see architects' drawings of our new school auditorium, ICT and Business suites, plus our sixth form independent study area. This building is due to open just in time to celebrate our 50th birthday as an excellent school serving our community.

Our website is a celebration of the wide range of our students' achievements and will give you an indication of the many opportunities available at The Bulmershe School. This is an exciting time for The Bulmershe School and we are always pleased to welcome visitors – if you were unable to make any of our scheduled open mornings, we will be delighted to show you round on a normal working day. Contact the school on 0118 9353353 and arrangements can be made for me or one of my senior staff to give you a tour and answer any questions you may have.
