Bulmershe is thrilled to announce a fantastic set of GCSE results for 2025, a testament to the extraordinary effort and resilience shown by our students. These results mark an historic high for our school and reflect the dedication of our young people, their families and our staff.

We are immensely proud to share that nearly a third of all results were the top grades of 9-7, and 65% of all grades were 9-5. This strong performance is reflected in our progress score of +0.5, meaning our students have achieved half a grade better in all their subjects than students of the same ability nationally. While nationally results for grades 9-4 have again fallen slightly to 67.4%, as a school our 9-4 grades have increased to 75.4%.

This success is a clear reflection of a sustained upward trend at our school, driven by the dedication, expertise and belief of our talented staff in every student.

Beyond the numbers, we are celebrating many individual success stories. Four students achieved a full suite of Grade 9s, with a further 29 students earning the top grades of 8s and 9s. We are also incredibly proud of the 31 students who have made more than two grades of progress across all of their subjects since they joined the school - a truly fantastic achievement.

While all departments have cause for celebration, the following subjects have performed within or exceeded the top 25% of schools nationally: 3D Design, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science, History, Maths, Music, Physics, Psychology, Punjabi, Religious Studies, Spanish, Statistics, and BTEC Digital Information.

Headteacher Amanda Woodfin commented:

"It is with immense pride and joy that I share the outstanding achievements of our Year 11 students. You have shown determination, courage and ambition, and we are incredibly proud of you. These outcomes are our strongest to date, and they reflect the hard work of our students, the partnership with their families, and the unwavering dedication of our colleagues."

As our Year 11 students move forward, we look forward to welcoming many of them back to our Sixth Form, where they will continue to thrive.

Congratulations Year 11 on this remarkable achievement. We thank you for your contributions to school life and wish you every success in the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.

Thank you to Wokingham Borough Council for sharing their photographs with us.
