Personal Development plays an important role within our sixth form curriculum. Each 6th form student receives 1 fortnightly timetabled PD lesson which covers a range of different topics that are relevant to their age group. All 6th form students take part in our annual mock interview day which is arranged by ex-students who have gone onto gain apprenticeships at companies such as Microsoft. We pride ourselves on our links with both many ex-students and also many local companies. All Year 12 students complete work experience in the summer term and this can either be arranged independently or through an arranged agency. Please see the PD road map for more information.
Sixth form students are seen as role models to all lower year students and are strongly encouraged to take part in many volunteering and extra-curricular activities within sixth form. We firmly believe that sixth form students should give back to both their school and local community and are given many opportunities to do so through the Enrichment Passport programme.
