The Bulmershe School is delighted to celebrate the academic achievements of its 2025 cohort following the recent publication of the government's official School Performance Tables. The data confirms the school’s position as a provider of outstanding academic opportunities within a supportive and nurturing environment.

A Clear Picture of High Achievement

The key metric of success, the average GCSE Attainment 8 grade for Bulmershe students, sits strongly at 50.7 - meaning on average, students' grades fall between a Grade 5 and 6. This figure significantly surpasses the national average for state-funded schools, which falls between a grade 4 and 5. This crucial success metric proves that our supportive and nurturing approach translates directly into student excellence.

Headteacher, Amanda Woodfin, commented: “Our results are a testament to the hard work of our students and the focused support they receive. With hundreds of applications already received for Year 7 next September, from both inside and outside our catchment area, the community is clearly recognising the value and opportunity our school provides.”

Consistently High Performance

Our academic performance is now consistently in line with that of other Wokingham schools, while significantly exceeding the average performance of schools in the Reading area. Furthermore, these improving results are not a one-off success story; they reflect a positive trend of consistent growth year after year.

We know that choosing the right secondary school is the most important decision for Year 6 families. These results offer reassurance that choosing Bulmershe means selecting a school that will work its hardest to provide incredible opportunities, secure strong academic outcomes, and support the needs of each individual.
