Why did I choose to come to The Bulmershe School?

I chose to come to The Bulmershe School because from my first viewing of the school, I felt an incredibly positive feeling about the space and the school as a whole. The teachers were very warm and welcoming.  I felt the support was great and the facilities are outstanding. Attending The Bulmershe School felt like the right choice for me.

Which lessons do I enjoy most and why?

I enjoy English and Art as I have always had a passion for both. The teachers at The Bulmershe School make the lessons very enjoyable and I am encouraged to express myself in class.

Was it easy to settle in and make new friends when I arrived?

Starting a new school is never easy. However, everybody at The Bulmershe School was so welcoming and making friends soon became easy. I found so many students were similar to me and attending clubs offers many opportunities to help find friends who have similar interests.

What extra-curricular activities have I taken part in?

I have taken part in the Art lunch time club and netball practice after school which I love. Sports after school hours are so enjoyable and anybody can take part, regardless of ability.

What is my most memorable moment at Bulmershe so far?

It is so incredibly hard to pick out the best moments because every single one will bring a smile to my face.  I have made lots of new friends and have learnt lots from new experiences. My first day at school and watching the virtual awards ceremony will always be memorable to me and make me smile.

What advice would I give to a student joining year 7?

To a student joining year 7, I would say that don’t be afraid to try something new and always ask questions. Try and get involved in clubs of your interests and you will soon make friends who have similar interests to you. Although joining year 7 is a daunting time, do not forget that everybody is in the same boat and teachers and the other students will guide you in the right direction.
