Why did you choose to come to The Bulmershe School?
The Bulmershe School is very local to me, and the access to the Bulmershe leisure centre spiked my sporting interests. After I visited many open evenings the teachers at The Bulmershe School were (and still are) so encouraging, caring and friendly.
How do you feel the co-curricular (extra-curricular clubs, trips, opportunities) experience at The Bulmershe School has benefited you?
At The Bulmershe School I have been given so many opportunities, for example public speaking competitions and working with external companies with working backstage with the schools end-of-year performances. These opportunities have given me many chances to widen my horizons and help me increase my confidence. The wide variety of clubs means that there is something for everyone either during lunch or after school. You even have the opportunity to create your own club to make many new friends. I have also been on so many trips from Year 7 through to now: Legoland, computer science trips, Year 7 and 8 camp, have all helped me to increase my subject knowledge and use this in the real world as well as giving me opportunities and options for what I might want to do in my future.
What would you say is your favourite moment so far in your time at The Bulmershe School?
My favourite moment was probably GCSE results day when I was able to laugh with my friends and teachers about all our results and that the hard work and dedication was truly worth it.
What is your favourite subject and why?
Computer Science because I find it really interesting and fun to find out how something that is such a big part of our lives works and how to create my own websites, virtual platforms and physical computers.
What advice would you give to a student about to join The Bulmershe School?
The teachers are all dedicated and want you to achieve your full potential, so if you ever need any support or guidance they are always there for you. Get involved in every opportunity The Bulmershe School has to offer as I have made so many great memories.
