At The Bulmershe School, we believe education is more than academic success – it’s about developing kind, confident and responsible young people who are ready to thrive in life. That’s why our curriculum is underpinned by key themes that support both personal growth and academic learning. One of the most important of these is Community.

This term's curriculum theme, Community, is more than a word – it’s a lived experience at Bulmershe. This week, our Headteacher has spoken in assemblies to all year groups, reinforcing the message that “we need to be looking out for each other, not at each other.” It’s a simple phrase, but one that captures everything we stand for. Our school thrives when students are kind, thoughtful, and take responsibility for the impact they have on those around them.

Our assemblies have explored how every action – big or small – helps shape our school’s identity. Whether it’s saying thank you to a member of staff, holding the door open for a peer, or standing up when something isn’t right, students are constantly reminded that they are part of something bigger.

These values aren’t just for students. We are proud of the strong relationships we build with families and carers. As part of the Bulmershe community, we ask that communication is respectful, and that we work together – not in opposition – for the good of every child. We’re on the same team.

Choosing the right secondary school is a big decision, and we know parents want a school where their child will feel safe, supported and inspired. At The Bulmershe School, our commitment to community, kindness and high standards helps create a positive and inclusive learning environment for every student.

Come and see the difference for yourself – join a community that truly cares.
