The Bulmershe School is proposing to build a new Specialist Resource Base (SRB) for up to 25 students with Cognition and Learning needs who hold an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

This dedicated base would allow students to receive specialist, tailored support within the SRB for approximately half of their timetable, while integrating into mainstream classes for the remainder.

This proposed change aims to meet the growing local demand for specialist provision, enhance our whole-school SEND offer, and promote an inclusive environment, on the condition we are successful in our bid for funding for the new build.

We invite you to read the full consultation document below and provide feedback between 2nd December 2025 and 6th January 2026. If the proposal is accepted and funded, the SRB is planned to open in September 2026.
