Learning Plan in event of Self Isolation or Partial/Full closure

I wanted to write to you to outline and make clear our plans for your child’s continuity of learning and pastoral support in the event of self isolation, partial closure or local lockdown.

This Continuity of learning plan has been built in collaboration with other local schools, academies and Independent schools and is based on the latest research as to what will be most effective for most students. It adheres to the DfE guidance, providing learning that is integrated into school curriculum planning and ensures that students are given the support they need to make good progress.

However, we appreciate that our students are individuals and expect you to let us know if at any time your child's learning is being impacted by changes and challenges in their circumstances.

For the guide on Google classroom please see below: A member of the Admin team will call once a week as a wellbeing check and to ensure that the learning is going well. Any disclosures, please report to school via the CPOMS app on the school website or call the school as you would normally.

Teachers will provide live lessons, via Google classrooms from their own classroom following the current school timetable(see link below). This will be a 40 min lesson with at least 15 minutes of teacher to student live communication. There will be resources, tasks and feedback for each learning episode and you will receive updates of the work set on your device. Form Tutors of the impacted year groups will hold a ‘keep in touch’ tutor session once a week for 20 minutes. The Head of Year will provide an assembly once a week. If your child receives mentoring  from the Ivory/Oasis/Attendance teams this will continue with your child via google meets, over the phone or home visits. Any disclosures, please report to school via the CPOMS app on the school website or call the school.  All live lessons, ‘keep in touch’ tutor sessions and mentoring will be recorded in order to protect students and staff.
